Before you start shopping, it's worth learning more about the pros and cons of different bed sheet types for hot sleepers. There are over 10,000 results for 'cooling bed sheets' on Amazon, so as well as looking for top-rated products, I made sure they were made from my favourite cooling materials.

• Cotton percale: a loose, lightweight weave (one-thread-over, one-thread-under), cotton percale feels crisp and cool on your skin. It is preferable to cotton sateen, which though softer, tends to trap heat due to the one-over-three-under weave that is smoother but less breathable.
