FAQs
When are the July 4th sales?
Most retailers start their 4th of July sales way before Independence Day, and we're currently in full swing of the sales as we speak! Some may drop further discounts on the day and across the weekend, but if you see something you've had your eye on and it's discounted right now, then we would advise to not wait around – it's always best to make the most of the deal when you see it before anything sells out.
If you miss out on any July 4th deals, do not worry, Amazon's huge Prime Day Sale is dropping next Tuesday 8th, and we expect many other retailers to start rival sales, so there will be many more deals available soon.
Design expertise in your inbox – from inspiring decorating ideas and beautiful celebrity homes to practical gardening advice and shopping round-ups.
What's best to buy on July 4th?
One of the best things to buy in the July 4th sales are grills. Most people buy a new grill in the runup to July 4th so that they're ready for a cookout. This means that most big box retailers buy lots of stock of grills so they don't run out in the key selling period. Afterwards, they have lots of stock they need to get rid of to make space for new products, which means you can find grills that should be worth thousands of dollars on sale for a lot less.
It is also a great time to shop seasonal decor and furniture before summertime properly hits, so if you're thinking your patio set or planters need a refresh, now is the time to hit the sales.
